Dr Murgai qualified in 2001 from The University of Birmingham – the oldest dental school in the UK. He then completed his postgraduate training in Surrey, became an associate dentist in West London and then purchased the Whippendell Dental Clinic in January 2004.
With a vision for quality and excellence he totally redeveloped the clinic, introducing a welcoming and open approach alongside cutting edge techniques and state of the art technology to entirely change the character, scope and feel of the practice.
Whilst maintaining his interest and skills in general dentistry Gulshan has developed an international practice in Dental Implants and Cosmetic Dental Surgery as well as Facial rejuvenation procedures.
He has trained and been trained by leading practitioners throughout Europe ensuring that we provide the very latest in dental and facial treatment techniques and technology.
Whilst regularly attending courses for continual professional development, he has also trained other dentists in the use of Digital Dentistry, Dental Implant surgery and smile makeovers.
The Practice was incorporated, expanded and relaunched as Skin & Smiles in December 2012.
Outside of work he enjoys cars, fine dining, travel, DIY (using a different type of drill!) and spending time with his wife, and two children.
Gulshan is fluent in English, Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu and has a basic understanding of German, French and Arabic.
Kajal is not just a team member but also a director (owner) of the clinic.
She is highly qualified as a registered dental assistant, but also has undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Law.
Kajal is mother to 2 children who are sometimes seen around the clinic and is wife to Dr Gulshan.
Roshni joined our team in September 2023 and has become a very popular member of the team.
Roshni is dual qualified as a hygienist and therapist meaning that she can provide more therapies than a regular hygienist.
Before studying to become a hygienist Roshni was a dental nurse so it is clear to see that she has invested a lot of time and effort into the profession.
Samia joined us in February 2023 having already qualified as a dentist in India.
Samia joined her husband who was already working in the UK and not wanting to waste her knowledge and skilled gained in India decided to work in the dental profession of the UK.
Samia joined us as a trainee dental assistant and passed her exams to qualify as a registered dental care professional on the UK register.
Outside of work Samia enjoys travel, shopping eating out.
Denisa joined our team in 2017 initially as a trainee assistant. She is now qualified as a registered dental assistant having passed all of her exams at the first attempt.
Denisa initially began her dental assistant career in her home country Romania but gained her qualification from the renowned National Exam Board for Dental Nurses in the UK. Prior to working with us, she was a dental assistant in general practice for 3 years.
In her spare time Denisa enjoys spending time with friends and family and travelling.
Denisa is currently a part-time member of the team as she has pursued her lifelong dream of studying to become an interior designer whilst also being mother to her young daughter.
Amrita joined us in January 2024 as an apprentice. She has Fridays off as her study day and is working towards becoming a registered dental assistant.
Outside of work Amrita teaches and takes part in traditional Indian dance.
She also enjoys facial aesthetics, eating out and attending the gym (to socialise).
